The things institutes ask us
- What happens after six months?
- We talk. We are not going to invent a price before we know what it actually costs to serve you — we are measuring that now. Founding institutes get told well in advance and get a say. If the number does not work for you, you can export your data and leave.
- Do you take a cut of our fees?
- No. StudyBuddy has no payment gateway and never holds your money. Parents pay you at the centre exactly as they do today. We only remind them and record what you tell us you received.
- Is there a setup fee or a contract?
- Neither. Create an institute, add a batch, and stop whenever you like.
- Do parents have to pay anything?
- No. Parents never pay for StudyBuddy and never see an advertisement in it.
- What if our parents do not use smartphones?
- WhatsApp works on almost any phone sold in India in the last decade, and that is where the messages go by default. Nothing needs installing.
- Can we get our data out?
- Yes, at any time and without asking us. Student lists, attendance history and fee records export as spreadsheets.
- How many institutes are you working with?
- Few, on purpose. We are onboarding founding institutes personally so we can watch how the product actually gets used and fix what does not fit.
